SoulWorker was initially published in Japan on April 6, 2016, with Hangame as the publisher. Smilegate released the Korean version on January 18, 2017, while Gameforge published the English version, which went into open beta on February 26, 2018. The English version of the game, released by Gameforge, will be discontinued on April 30, 2021. On May 13, 2021, Lion Games Studios created a new English server. It uses the same game client as the Taiwanese version and can only be obtained through Steam.
