NO, NOT SOUL EATER! is a spin-off and side tale that takes place a year before the events of Soul Eater. Humans born with the ability to turn into weapons and those with the ability to wield these weapons (Meisters) learn at the Death Weapon Meister Academy to refine their innate aptitude. The main series protagonists are enrolled in the Especially Advantaged Talent class, where they learn to become justice fighters capable of conquering whatever enemies prey on innocent lives—or perhaps the whole globe.
