Maeda is a first-year student at Teiken High School. When he's nervous, he stutters and is clumsy. He is instantly noticed because he attacks a teacher during the admission ceremony. Some teams seek him out because they regard him as a force they can use to get even with other clubs. Maeda, on the other hand, is a loner with only one ambition: to become a boxing champion.
