Supersonic monkeys, vampires, talking fishmen, and other supernatural monsters coexisting with humans have been a part of Hellsalem's Lot, once known as New York City, for quite some time. When a portal between Earth and the Beyond opened three years ago, it locked both New Yorkers and animals from the other dimension in an impenetrable bubble and compelled them to coexist. Libra is a covert organization made up of eccentrics and superhumans entrusted with maintaining order in the city and preventing anarchy from spreading to the rest of the globe. Leonardo Watch lives a typical life with his parents and sister while pursuing photography as a pastime. But when he receives the "All-seeing Eyes of the Gods" at the end of the game, the expense of his sister's eyesight, he goes to Hellsalem's Lot in order to help her by finding answers about the mysterious powers he received.
