Shinichirou Asano has had a string of bad luck. His parents deserted him and fled to Europe. If that wasn't horrible enough, they didn't even leave him enough money to live on. He must work in order to pay his rent and have a roof over his head. Unfortunately, he was just let off from his previous employment, and as a high school student, he doesn't have many other options. On his walk home one evening, he is ambushed by a centipede creature. Shinichirou is rescued by a strange girl with a bow and arrow, who he later learns is Sakuya Shimazu, a lovely student at his school. However, when he subsequently assists a wounded female, he learns two things.
