The existence of the US-Japanese anti-terror organization CIRS became public awareness during the Heath Oslo incident. CIRS has been reconstructed from the ground up, and its most sensitive duties have been transferred to a new agency: SORD (Social Ops, Research & Development). SORD's mission is to train a new generation of operators to protect the country from future dangers. To that purpose, the group has set up a network of schools around the country. Mihama Academy, which had been left to rot following its unexpected closure, has been given new life as a'specialist training school.' This new Mihama Academy is home to a varied mix of students who study hard every day to hone their distinctive abilities – sometimes on their own.
