Taniyama Mai and her classmates like telling ghost stories at school. On their grounds, there appears to be an abandoned school building that has been the subject of several ghost stories. They are interrupted by a mystery man figure throughout the narrative. Shibuya Kazuya, a 17-year-old president of the Shibuya Psychic Research Company, is the individual in question. The principal asked him to look into the stories surrounding the abandoned school building. The next day, on her way to school, Mai passes by the school in question. She is stunned by Kazuya's helper while studying a weird camera she discovered inside. Mai, unknowingly meddling with the inquiry, breaks the camera, injuring Kazuya's helper. Kazuya employs Mai under duress.
