The Abh Empire, a species of intelligent humanoid creatures with substantially superior technology, attacks mankind in the far future. As innumerable worlds are conquered by the Abh, humanity forms the Four Nations Alliance, a resistance coalition comprised of the United Mankind, the Republic of Greater Alcont, the Federation of Hania, and the People's Sovereign of Union Planets. Jinto Linn's tale is told in Seikai no Monshou. His father, the president of Martine, surrendered their globe when he was young in return for a prominent position in the empire. Jinto, now a young count, must learn the customs of the Abh nobility and live among those who oppressed his people. Lafiel Abriel, an austere Abh princess whom Jinto immediately likes, is assisting him.
