When an unclean spirit arrives at the railway station of death, he is given a second shot at life against his choice. The spirit is reincarnated into the body of Makoto Kobayashi, a 14-year-old boy who recently committed suicide, and is charged with identifying the kid's worst fault in life within six months. Despite its reluctance to continue living as Makoto, the soul eventually becomes aware of the intricacies of people's feelings and behaviors. Colorful deconstructs the themes of broken families and suicide to examine the complexities of the daily challenges that people encounter but are too afraid to acknowledge.
