Noctis Lucis Caelum, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Lucis, embarks on a pilgrimage to Caem. His goal is to meet with Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, an oracle and childhood friend of Noctis, in order to marry her. Noctis is a powerful and silent type who is followed by his Royal Guard buddies Gladiolus, Prompto, and Ignis. The four young men set out across the continent in the Regalia, the king's personal convertible. Along the way, they encounter a variety of scenarios that allow them to reflect on their shared history and fortify their relationships for the future.
