Boruto Uzumaki, son of Seventh Hokage Naruto, is a talented ninja with the same brashness and enthusiasm as his father. Boruto's fire is dampened by his father's continual absence, who is preoccupied with his Hokage duties. Boruto is eager to show to his father that he is worthy of his father's attention after knowing that he would be watching the aspiring ninjas who will compete in the forthcoming Chunin tests. To do this, he enlists the assistance of Naruto's boyhood friend and nemesis, Sasuke Uchiha. The Chunin examinations begin and go normally until the Konohagakure is abruptly invaded by a new opponent who threatens the village's long-standing tranquility. Naruto and his friends are now in grave danger.
