Staz is the vampire lord of a region of the demon realm, yet he has no need for human blood. He's more fascinated with Japanese culture. When he discovers that Yanagi Fuyumi, a Japanese adolescent girl, has inadvertently wandered into the demon city, he seizes the opportunity. While Staz is dealing with an intruder on his turf, Fuyumi is slain by a monster and becomes a roaming ghost. Staz, who is disappointed, promises her that he will find a method to bring Fuyumi back to life.
