Hikari Kohinata and Futaba Ooki have found satisfaction in a variety of activities, including scuba diving and ordinary happenings. Hikari was born and raised in a little seaside hamlet on the island of Izu, while Futaba relocated from Tokyo, but the two polar opposites met at Yumegaoka High and hit it off right away. The reserved Futaba found the bright and enthusiastic Hikari to be the perfect counterbalance, and their friendship gave her the courage to take the first step and enjoy many of life's simple pleasures. She also passed the Open Water Diver exam, and now she's aiming for the Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
