Tamotsu and Niwaka Denkigai, otaku brothers, are out shopping in Akihabara when the area is overrun by vampiric cosplaying monsters! These creatures, known as "Bugged Ones," have the ability to possess anyone they bite, and they quickly spread havoc throughout the metropolis. Tamotsu is rescued by the mysterious baseball bat-wielding Matome Mayonaka as he is about to be devoured by one of these animals. They fight several more skirmishes with the Bugged Ones together, but Tamotsu is gravely injured shielding Matome before long. She has no choice except to resurrect him as a high-level Bugged One, just like her!
