Professor Tani hires private detective Hazama Itsuru to investigate a cyborg parts heist, which leads him to Sachiko Yokogawa, the original 8 Man's love interest. Sachiko is living her new life as a Biotecho Corp. employee until she meets a new 8 Man, who appears after Hazama is fatally injured by an unknown cyborg. This other 8 Man will combat criminals in a more aggressive manner against a violent metropolitan backdrop with cyber-junkies causing chaos throughout the metropolis.
